Title:    Director of Coaching
Job Location:  Arkansas State Soccer Association
Reporting structure: Reports directly to Executive Director and President

Duties shall include but not be limited too:
1. Work closely with Executive Director to ensure objectives of ASSA are met. 
2. Respond in timely and professional manner to the needs and concerns of member associations.
3. Keep President, Board of Directors, and Executive Director informed on a monthly basis on all matters directly related to duties of the Director of Coaching.
4. Prepare and maintain annual coaching budget; make monthly report to President/Board of Directors.
5. The Director of Coaching is in charge of all ASSA-supported and endorsed camps (including ODP) in Arkansas.
6. Support member associations in a timely manner with information and appropriate materials, i.e., coaching clinics, coaching education courses, maintaining coaches' level of certification.
7. Responsible for planning, staffing and training of state coaching staff for all coaching and player clinics.  Provides input to the Executive Director on the details of each event (clinic/camp) prior to execution.
8. Appoint and coordinate activities of Olympic Development coaching staff, ODP Administrator, team administrators.
9. Travels throughout the state in support of the ASSA mission.
10. Promote Center of Excellence throughout the state.  *
11. Maintain coaching supplies at manageable and cost efficient level.
12. Work State Cup Championship Tournaments as assigned by Executive Director.
13. Assist Executive Director/board members in making presentations to sponsors/potential sponsors as requested.
14. Instruct coaching courses; at least twelve courses each year.
15. Have or be in the process of attaining an “A” license. **
16. Other assignments as directed by President/Board of Directors.
17. Support the annual budget as necessary.

*The Center of Excellence are training sessions provided by AR ODP coaches open to all members. Sessions are offered throughout the state.  The goal is to provide quality training sessions to classic as well as recreational players.

** Successful applicant must succeed in earning their A license within a year of being hired.  In addition, they must also earn their National Youth Coaching License within 18 months of being hired.
