Marketing and Communications Coordinator –Illinois Youth Soccer, state office based in Arlington Heights, Illinois, the official representative of US Youth Soccer and the United States Soccer Federation in Illinois, is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to coordinate the marketing and communications aspects of the entire organization.
Responsibilities include: Service existing marketing partner accounts and handle all aspects of compliance. Develop marketing partnership proposals and solicit new partners. Sell advertising space in newspaper, e-newsletter, and web site. Create overall marketing plan for entire organization and each program and event. Develop and carry out ways to increase brand awareness. Develop and carry out ways to increase participation and benefits to participants. Write and distribute media releases for events and programs. Write feature stories and articles for newspaper, e-newsletter, and web site. Design and layout marketing brochures, annual media guide, event programs, and program brochures. Design event and program logos and t-shirt designs.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, or related business field. Knowledge of soccer, graphic design, and bilingual a plus. Must be detail oriented and possess good organizational skills as well as verbal and written communication skills, able to work with deadlines and enjoy working as part of a team. Candidate should be self-motivated, have a high level of energy, be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and have the ability to demonstrate vision, innovation and creativity in development of marketing strategies.
