Event and Programs Coordinator –Illinois Youth Soccer, state office based in Arlington Heights, Illinois, the official representative of US Youth Soccer and the United States Soccer Federation in Illinois, is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to coordinate events and programs.

 

Responsibilities include: Coordinate all aspects of Soccer Expo Workshop and Exhibitor Show, Copa Chicago, Sponsor supported events, Chicago International Cup Aspects include but are not limited to: Secure facility and communicate frequently with facility contacts. Complete all necessary permits and applications. Develop application packet to recruit and register participants. Develop schedules.

Coordinate registration. Communicate and coordinate compliance with any event partners. Coordinate game day operations. Administer Illinois State Cup and Illinois Youth Soccer Challenge Cup. Coordinate and serve as contact for Soccer Start – Inner City Program. Assist as needed with the Olympic Development Program and Coaching Education Program.

 

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in related field. Past experience in coordinating events recommended. Knowledge of soccer and bilingual a plus.  Must be detail oriented and possess good organizational skills as well as verbal and written communication skills, able to work with deadlines and enjoy working as part of a team. Candidate should be self-motivated, have a high level of energy, be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and have the ability to demonstrate vision, innovation and creativity in development of event strategies.
